The closest airport to Tomsk is Bogashevo. It is 6 km from Tomsk State University, and to reach Tomsk you should take a bus ¹ 119 (approx. 40 min to the city border and 60 min to centre) or a taxi.
The closest international airport is Tolmachevo, situated near Novosibirsk. This airport has connections (via Moscow) to many European cities by Aeroflot and Transaero aircompanies.
To get to Novosibirsk (to bus station or railway station) you should take a minibus or taxi. Then there are two possibilities. Novosibirsk has very good bus connection to Tomsk (every hour, practically), and after 4 hour trip you are in Tomsk. Another option is train. From railway station "Novosibirsk" you should take a local train to station "Tajga", and then local train to station "Tomsk". Train "Moscow-Tomsk" passes Novosibirsk at night, and you can use this train also. Now we can not give you exact time, because timetable for summer is unknown as yet.
There are several flights a day from and to Moscow (S7 and KrasAir from Domodedovo, Gazpromavia from Vnukovo). Tomsk has connections (via Moscow) with several European cities and aircompanies:

By train
Train Moscow-Tomsk departs in the evening from Moscow (station "Yaroslavskiy vokzal" ) and after 54 hours trip arrives to Tomsk (station Tomsk-1) in the morning. You may travel in lux class (two persons in a compartment), first class (4 persons in a compartment) or second class (52 berths in a carriage, no isolated compartments).
